Lionas L. Jones

Lionas L. Jones, 89, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, July 16, 2015.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 20, in the chapel at Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Jones was born Jan. 19, 1926, in Yoakum, the son of Garmen Lee Jones and Mamie Grimmer Jones. His wife, Antionette Katherine Jones, preceded him in death.

Jones is survived by three children and spouses, including Beverly and Buddy McDaniel of Duncan, Oklahoma; Betty Jones of Pocatello, Idaho, and Becky and Wayne Fultz of Deer Park; six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Survivors also include three siblings, Leonard Jones of Lago Vista, Lois Bell of College Station and Bobby Jones of Georgetown.

In addition to his wife and parents, Jones was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters, including Garmen Jones Jr., Donald Jones, Louise Hagen, Ray Jones, Roy Jones and Edith Hansen.
