Jessica Dawn Goolsby

Jessica Dawn Goolsby, 36, nee Moellering, of Abernathy, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015.

Visitation was held Saturday, July 18, from 11 a.m.-8 p.m., at Abell Funeral Home in Abernathy.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 25, at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg with the Rev. David Priem officiating.

Mrs. Goolsby was born Aug. 16, 1978, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Roger Wayne Moellering and Nancy Faye Ransleben Moellering. She married Robert Jay Goolsby on Dec. 17, 2005, at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Illinois.

Following her husband’s retirement from the military, they moved to Abernathy in 2013.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Goolsby is survived by one son, Jonathon Christian Goolsby, and one daughter, Addisyn Lara-Marie Goolsby, both of Abernathy.

Survivors also include her mother, Nancy Moellering of Kenosha, Wisconsin; her father, Roger Wayne Moellering of Chaparral, New Mexico, and her parents-in-law, Jesse and Frances Goolsby of Abernathy.

Mrs. Goolsby was preceded in death by her grandparents, Reuben and Lillian Moellering, Andrew and Lorraine Baumann and Dayton and Lanier Ransleben.
