Raul Martinez Aguero

Raul Martinez Aguero, 61, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 1, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating.

Graveside services and interment followed at 2 p.m., in the Llano City Cemetery in Llano.

Rosary services were held at 6 p.m., Friday, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation was held Friday evening and Saturday morning.

Aguero was born Jan. 15, 1954 in Stanford, the son of Raul Perez Aguero and Irene Olivas Martinez Aguero.

He is survived by six sisters and one brother, including Irene Castro, of Memphis, Texas; Ramona Garcia, Estelline; Max Aguero, New Braunfels; Mary Ayala, Kerrville; Audelia Duque and Tomacita Ruiz, both of Fredericksburg; and Janie Lopez, Cleburne.

Aguero was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Alfredo Duque, Emanuel Galan, Ruben Aleman, Vince Lopez, John Ayala, Felix Sanchez, Ruben E. Aleman and Justino Lopez.
