Agnes Clara Ritter

Agnes Clara Ritter, 77, nee Weinheimer, of Austin and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2015.

Funeral series were held at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Austin-Peel and Sons Funeral Home in Austin, with a funeral Mass following at 7 p.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Austin.

Graveside services and interment were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum in Fredericksburg.

Mrs. Ritter was born Nov. 9, 1938, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Hilmar L. Weinheimer and Alvina Kunz Weinheimer. She married Mark Ritter on Feb. 16, 1979. He preceded her in death.

A 1956 St. Mary’s High School graduate, Mrs. Ritter graduated from Seton School of Nursing in Austin.

She was a registered nurse in Hawaii for a number of years, and then worked at the V.A. Hospital in Kerrville before moving to Austin where she also worked in the nursing field.

Survivors include one son, David Ritter of Austin.

She is also survived by two sisters, Frances Behrends and her husband, William, and Joyce Pyka, and one brother, David G. Weinheimer, and his wife, Karen, all of Fredericksburg.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ritter was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry Weinheimer, Hilmar Weinheimer Jr. and James Weinheimer; one sister, Doris Kolmeier, and three brothers-in-law, Maurice Kolmeier, Mark Ritter and Frederick Pyka.
