Mrs. Clyde LaLanne

Mrs. Clyde LaLanne, 79, nee Gwendolyn Martin of Cypress and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Kindred Hospital in Tomball.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Harnan officiating.

Interment followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation was held Wednesday morning before the funeral.

Mrs. LaLanne was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Houston, the daughter of Henry Clay Martin and Gladys Snell Martin. She married Clyde LaLanne on June 20, 1953, in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Houston. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1996.

She is survived by three children and spouses, including Rhonda and Kenton Feller of Fredericksburg, Robin and Donna LaLanne of Cypress, and Diana and Randy McGraw of El Paso.

Survivors also include 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Don Scott of Weimar.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. LaLanne was preceded in death by two sisters, Kitty Built and Patsy Swaze.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Lauren LaLanne, Sarah LaLanne, Audrey LaLanne, Randy McGraw, Christopher Feller, Kenton Feller,  Chris Robertson and Angela Carrasco.
