Mrs. Leonard Bachmayer

Mrs. Leonard Bachmayer, 69, nee Mary Elise Friedrich of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, in Kerrville.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at Bethany Lutheran Church with the Rev. Elliott Pancoast officiating.

Interment followed in the Friedrich Family Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation was held Sunday evening and Monday morning.

Mrs. Bachmayer was born May 31, 1946, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Edmund Friedrich and Hedwig Ahrens Friedrich. She married Leonard Bachmayer Jr. on Nov. 25, 1983, in Bethany Lutheran Church, and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bachmayer is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie and Clara Ridley of Fredericksburg and Leonard Wayne and Karie Bachmayer of Burnet, and four grandchildren.

She is also survived by two sisters, one brother and spouses, including Margaret and Edgar Priess, Helen and Eldon Ray Feller and Edmund (Peda) and Tess Friedrich Jr., all of Fredericksburg.

Mrs. Bachmayer was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Darlene Frisch, and one brother, Emil Friedrich.

Memorials may be made to the Pecan Creek School, Relay for Life or to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Danny Payne, Bryan Schmidt, Archie Jenschke, David Feller, Walter Dube Jr., Robert Dube, Kenneth Friedrich and Bill Leifeste.
