Mrs. Marvin Cross, 90, nee Lois Elizabeth Boudreaux, of Fredericksburg and formerly of Pasadena, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013.

Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at St. Pius V Catholic Church with interment following at Forest Park East, both in Pasadena.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

CLIFFORD L. BULLER

Clifford L. Buller, 87, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013.

A private family memorial service will be held in Douglas County, Neb., at a later date.

Buller was born Sept. 12, 1926, in Douglas County, Neb., to Arthur Buller Sr. and Katie Jane Petersen Buller.

He married Lorine Beam on June 12, 1946, in Douglas County, Neb.

Survivors include two brothers and three sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Graveside services and interment were held today, Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Antonio Moreno Sr., 59, nee Maria Zamora of Fredericksburg, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Interment of the cremains is planned at a later date.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 4-6 p.m., in the funeral chapel.

Memorials may be made to the family for medical expenses.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 29, from 4-7 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 30, from 7-9:45 a.m.

A vigil service will be held Friday, Nov. 29, at 6 p.m., at the funeral home.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with interment following at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s School Endowment Fund or to the charity of choice.

FATIMA KOTHE

Fatima Kothe, 26, nee Galindo, of Fredericksburg died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013.

A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating.

Interment followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

A rosary service was held Wednesday evening, Nov. 20, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with Deacon Francisco De la Torre officiating. The St. Mary’s Spanish Choir sang.

Ms. Kothe was born Dec. 3, 1986, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Maria de los Angeles and Cresenciano Galinda.

In addition to her parents, Cresenciano and Maria Galindo of Fredericksburg, she is survived by a son, Cameron Quinn Kothe of Fredericksburg.

She is also survived by 14 brothers and sisters and their spouses, including Margarita and Luis Lopez, Maria and Frank Partida, Jesus Galindo, Martin and Rosa Galindo, Rosa Elva and Raul Lopez, Manuel Galindo, Gabe and Socorro Galindo, Carlos and Olga Galindo, Thomas Galindo, Juan and Juanita Galindo, Mikki and Eugene Castaneda, Sandra Galindo, Sonia Galindo and Elsa Galindo.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Andrew Galindo.

CRYSTAL STRINGHAM HOIBERG

Crystal Stringham Hoiberg, 98, of Fredericksburg, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013.

Graveside services and interment were held Saturday, Nov. 23, at 10:30 a.m. in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Ms. Hoiberg was born Sept. 22, 1915, in New York, N.Y., the daughter of Emerson Stringham and Teresa Katherine White Stringham.

She was a 1937 graduate of the University of Wisconsin.

Ms. Hoiberg is survived by three children, including Jay Hoiberg of San Fransisco, Calif.; Svend Hoiberg of Barrytown, N.Y., and Molly Wolf and her husband, Bill, of Fredericksburg; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Ms. Hoiberg was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Sharp.

Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice or the charity of choice.

E. Reagan Heartfield

E. Reagan Heartfield, 92, of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013.

Graveside services and interment were held Friday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Danielle Knapp officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Heartfield was born Dec. 16, 1920, in Beaumont, the son of Leonard Heartfield and Lille Mae Mercer Heartfield. He married Margaret (Mike) Weston on Aug. 16, 1956, in Beaumont. She preceded him in death.

Prior to entering the U.S. Army, Heartfield attended Texas A&M University.

He was a bombardier during World War II, flying 39 combat missions in a B-26 bomber over France and Belgium. His plane was shot down, he was captured and was a prisoner of war for 10 months.

 Heartfield worked in the oil and gas industry until his retirement.

He is survived by two step-sons, John Everett and his wife, Debra, of Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, and David Everett of Austin.

In addition to his wife and parents, Heartfield was preceded in death by three brothers, William Heartfield, Donald Heartfield and Brooks Heartfield, and a sister, Faye Chavanne.

Memorials may be made to Fredericksburg United Methodist Church or the charity of choice.

Mrs. B.P. Hartmann, 95, nee Ruby Norma Rusche, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Knopp Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 4-8 p.m., and Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 7:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m.

Vigil services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with entombment following in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.

DORIS ROEBUCK HANSEN

Doris Roebuck Hansen, 94, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Fredericksburg Nursing and Rehab.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 30, at 3 p.m. at Hilda United Methodist Church at Hilda with the Reverends Wade Powell and William Brown officiating.

Mrs. Hansen was born Jan. 27, 1919, in Bearden, Ark., the daughter of Dr. Fred G. Roebuck and Blanche Stokes Roebuck. She married Byron Hansen on Dec. 22, 1945, at First Methodist Church in Fort Smith, Ark. He preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 2003.

She is survived by two sons, one daughter and spouses, including Craig and Rahni Hansen of Colleyville; Paige Hansen of Palmer, Alaska, and Laurie and Mark Witt of Hilda.

Survivors also include 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are one sister and two brothers and spouses, Virginia Guthrie of Camden, Ark.; Lewis and Patsy Roebuck of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dan and Missy Roebuck of Fort Smith, Ark.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hansen was preceded in death by a daughter, Dori Seitz; a son-in-law, Mark White, and a brother, Fred Roebuck Jr.

Memorials may be made to Hilda United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall Fund, P.O. Box 1404, Mason, TX 76856; or Hendrix College Dr. Fred G. Roebuck United Methodist Church Scholarship, 1600 Washington Ave., Conway, AR 72032.

MRS. MARVIN CROSS

Mrs. Marvin Cross, 90, nee Lois Elizabeth Boudreaux, of Fredericksburg and formerly of Pasadena, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at The Paige House.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at St. Pius V Catholic Church, in Pasadena, with the Rev. Wayne Wilkerson of St. Frances DeSales Church of Houston officiating. Interment followed that afternoon at Forest Park East Cemetery, in Pasadena.

Visitation and a rosary service were held Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Pasadena Funeral Chapel.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cross was born July 28, 1923, in Morgan City, La., the daughter of John Baptist Boudreaux and Nellie Louvier Boudreaux.

She was married to Marvin Cross for 53 years until his death.

Survivors include three daughters and spouses, Jenelle and Paul Ranken of Baton Rouge, La.; Marlynn and Craig Sartin of Huffman, and Billie and Edgar Marshall of Fredericksburg; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew Boudreaux and Gerald Boudreaux.

Memorials may be made to St. Pius V Catholic Church of Pasadena, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, the American Cancer Society or the charity of choice.

Albert Edgar Brooker Jr. of Fredericksburg died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013.

Graveside services and interment were held Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. David Priem officiating.

Visitation was held Tuesday evening, Nov. 19, at Fredericksburg Funeral Home Chapel.

Brooker was an electrician, working on large commercial construction.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Usener Brooker of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Susan Lynn Tubbs and her husband, Shane, of Kerrville, and two grandchildren.

Brooker was preceded in death by his parents, Albert E. Brooker Sr. and Jessie Viola Martin Brooker, and one brother, Stanley Brooker.

Memorials may be made to Hill Country SPCA, Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Jarrod Usener, Kevin Usener, Billy Faye, Curtis Houy, Shane Tubbs and Jessie Castillo.

Mrs. Moreno was born Jan. 21, 1954, in Mexico, the daughter of Juan Zamora and Cecilia Maldonedo Zamora. She married Antonio Moreno Sr. who survives.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Moreno is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Antonio and Jennifer Moreno of Stonewall, and two grandchildren.

ROBERT BRIAN MEURER

Robert Brian Meurer, 57, of Fredericksburg, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, in a San Antonio hospital.

A funeral mass was celebrated Saturday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating.

Mary Ann Murchison was the pianist; while Nancy Maenius, Lorna Weiershausen and Avery Meurer were the vocalists.

Interment followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation and a vigil service were held Friday evening, Nov. 29.

Meurer was born Sept. 10, 1956, in Fredericksburg, the son of John Jacob Meurer and Lillian Wahrmund Meurer. He married Dianna Kott on Sept. 16, 1978,0 in Fredericksburg and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Meurer is survived by one son, Neil Meurer of Fredericksburg, and a daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Sam Weinberg, of San Antonio.

Survivors also include his mother, Lillian Wahrmund Meurer, of Fredericksburg; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Yvonne Meurer of San Antonio, and a sister-in-law, Kathleen, Mrs. Vernon Meurer of Fredericksburg.

Meurer was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Vernon Meurer.

Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s School Endowment Fund or to the charity of choice.

Pallbearers included Lonnie Weltens, Russell Meurer, Joel Meurer, Will Meurer, Darren Meurer, Jim Petty, Luther Schumann and Ed Simmons.

Debra Ann Maymi, daughter of Buddy and Ida Braeutigam, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, in Portland, Ore., as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Lois Whitworth Maldonado, 57, of San Antonio, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home with Deacon Brian Lewis officiating.

Interment followed in the Eckert Cemetery.

Ms. Maldonado was born Aug. 12, 1956, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Lloyd Whitworth and Evelyn Irene Moehle Whitworth. She married Mark A. Gomez who survives.

In addition to her husband, Ms. Maldonado is survived by the following children: Ramon Maldonado of San Antonio; Bianca Doxey and her husband, Dr. Melton Doxey, of Fishers, Ind., and Marcus Maldonado of San Antonio, and one grandchild.

She is also survived one brother, Lloyd Whitworth of San Antonio; one sister, Laura Whitworth of Kerrville, and one step-sister, Dannie Seewald of Boerne.

She was preceded in death by her mother.
